Monstersongs für eine Monsterscheibe von einem Monster von einer Prog-Band. Während sich alle zu Recht über Steven Wilsons aktuelles Hoch freuen, sollten sie unbedingt auch Andy Tillison ein Ohr leihen, denn der steht mit THE TANGENT gerade im vollen Saft und hat mit "Le Sacre Du Travail" eine Großtat abgeliefert, die ähnlich klassisch klingt, aber auch ohne avantgardistische Genre-Erneuerung frisch wie relevant. Hut ab!

AUTOMATIC DAY
Es wäre langsam an der Zeit die Band Big Atlas zu nennen. Die Musiker dürfen wegen "Automatic Day" nämlich stolz auf sich sein. Dagegen klingt "Surface Serene", immerhin der Babyblaue Seiten-Tipp des Monats 9/2003 - so gut es auch war - doch eher wie US-Prog-Durchschnitt. Inzwischen ist die Musik von Little (Big) Atlas bedeutend facettenreicher und reifer geworden. Da muss ich dem Gitarristen Strattman recht geben, der in "Automatic Day", eine deutliche Steigerung sieht.
